Russell Westbrook returned to the Jesse Owens Recreation Center in Los Angeles to host the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Basketball Camp and show kids ages 7 to 13 the basic skills of basketball. Russell, along with his parents and staff, taught kids basketball fundamentals, played scrimmage games, and led a Q&A with the campers. Each child was outfitted by Jordan and was given a meal from SUBWAY Restaurants.
This was the 2nd annual Why Not? Basketball Camp hosted by the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation and it was once again held at the park where Russell and his brother, Raynard, grew up playing sports. With this camp Russell is able to go back home, and not only serve as a source of pride for the community, but also give back to those in the area that mean so much to him.
