Russell Westbrook held his 6th annual Why Not? basketball camp at Jesse Owens Community Regional Park in Los Angeles. The camp was attended by approximately 200 campers who received a full day of fundamental and basic skills training alongside Westbrook, his brother Ray, family and coaches.
The Why Not? Basketball Camp welcomed boys and girls with two age appropriate sessions, the morning for younger campers and pre-teens in the afternoon. Westbrook acted as coach and referee through various basketball and endurance drills, scrimmages, and a mini all-star game. At the end, he took photos alongside the campers and awarded a handful of them with certificates and signed items. With the help of his Why Not? Foundation, Westbrook has continued to host his camp annually in Los Angeles.
